I primarily represent physicians and other healthcare providers in the business, regulatory, and tax aspects of their practices. I have been an adjunct professor of health law and other courses at Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida, and previously served as its Director, Center for Quality in Healthcare Law. I have been recognized in Chambers USA: Americas Leading Lawyers for Business, The Best Lawyers In America, Super Lawyers, and Florida Trend’s Legal Elite in the area of healthcare law. I was named the 2014 Tampa Healthcare Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers. I am a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Health Law Section of the American and Florida Bar Associations. I am also a member of MGMA, Suncoast Society of Healthcare Executives, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. I earned a BA in 1975 and MA in 1976 from the University of Florida and a JD from the University of Chicago in 1981.
