OIG on Twitter

For those of you who have not yet embraced social networking as a tool in your profession, it’s time.  

On May 23, the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services began tweeting.  So far, the OIG has tweeted 13 times to its 331 followers.  The tweets have been about the OIG’s audit activities, healthcare fugitives, medicare fraud, and the like.  The OIG’s tweets can be read in this blog.

The OIG is providing valuable information to those of us practicing in the area of healthcare, and the information is delivered in a timely fashion.
